Makeup graduate makes front cover!

makeup artist, professional makeup artist course, makeup by melissa maier

Because I teach my students what the fashion and editorial industry ACTUALLY wants – as a result my students are experiencing true success and recognition. My graduate Melissa Maier  @melissamaierstyles was personally sought out by well known Mornington Peninsula Bridal Magazine – ‘TOAST’ to do the hair and makeup for the front cover of their most recent edition. Toast Magazine is an icon on the Peninsula and is the ‘go to’ reference for any bride looking for high end suppliers for her wedding day.

If Melissa was doing heavy, thick makeup with over contouring (often with the completely wrong shade) and enormous amounts of shimmer, she would not have had any chance on this earth of being offered this opportunity. Magazines want makeup that is truly expertly applied, where the skin is flawless and not obliterated with layer upon layer of makeup. This is the EXACT opposite of what a magazine editor is looking for.

Congratulations Mel!! You deserve it and I’m really proud of you! Onwards and upwards for you!!
