Beautiful locations you get to work in as an in-demand makeup artist

As a Makeup Artist that is still freelancing full time in the industry, I get to work in some truly beautiful locations. Yesterday was no exception – I was booked to do the makeup for 8 girls at Tanglewood Estate. This is a gorgeous property situated in Dromana on the Mornington Peninsula. On site it has a beautiful chapel, reception venue and a cottage, capable of sleeping up to 8 people.

The cottage is filled with vintage pieces, a full country kitchen, plenty of room for everyone to get ready in. I was down there working with one of my favourite hairdressers – Tania Aliaga (tanz4hair@hotmail.com  web: www.taniaaliga.com/)

We both agreed, we would love to live there! From the windows the outlook is of a beautiful garden, leading out to a large pond, with paths leading to the chapel and the reception venue. Of course there is plenty of birds and wild life, including the cutest little ducklings, all following dutifully behind their mother – this was the welcoming party when I arrived!

Not only do I get to meet wonderful people, but to be included into such a joyous day, with people who are excited not only about the day ahead, but also to see you – who really appreciate your talent and skill, is still an element of being a Makeup Artist that I will never tire of. It really doesn’t feel like work, and every weekend I count my blessings that I had the courage to leave a job I was no longer satisfied with, and pursue a career that truly speaks to my soul!

If you’re looking for somewhere to get married, and have everything on site at your fingertips – I highly recommend considering Tanglewood Estate (@tanglewoodestate)
