Woo hoo!! Well done to my graduate Rebecca Tatman who completed my Fundamentals Pro Makeup Course on Friday afternoon – she went and had a beauty treatment nearby to my school straight after class and was holding her folder from my classes. The staff noticed her folder and asked her to hand in her resume as they’re quite keen to employ her for a makeup position!!

I’m really proud of you Rebecca! To be offered the opportunity of a makeup position one hour after finishing the course is fantastic!!!

There’s so many opportunities for makeup work out there. It really comes down to doing a makeup course where you are taught properly, using top professional products across a wide range of brands in order for you to have great product knowledge. Also learning to colour match and colour mix products too makes a big difference – having the ability to deal with any skin tone and  facial features as well as great design concept all goes a long way to reaching success.

Doing a makeup course whereby you are in a small class size helps maximise your learning and grasping of techniques. I also think enrolling into a makeup course run by someone who is currently working in the industry is a big bonus as you are getting up to date information, including a direct line to the industry itself.
