How to Work with False Lashes: Tips for Applying and Removing Falsies

False lashes are a great way to enhance the eyes and create a glamorous look. Whether you are a professional makeup artist or just starting out with makeup, it's important to know how to apply and remove false lashes properly. Here are some tips for working with false lashes:

  1. Choose the right lashes: There are many different types of false lashes available, from natural-looking to dramatic styles. Consider the occasion and the client's preferences when choosing lashes.

  2. Measure the lashes: False lashes usually come in one size, so you may need to trim them to fit the client's eye shape. Measure the lashes against the client's lash line and trim any excess from the outer edge.

  3. Apply lash glue: Apply a thin layer of lash glue to the band of the false lashes. Wait a few seconds for the glue to become tacky before applying the lashes.

  4. Place the lashes: Use tweezers to place the false lashes on the client's lash line, starting from the inner corner of the eye and working outward. Press the lashes gently into place and adjust as needed.

  5. Blend the lashes: Use a mascara wand to blend the false lashes with the client's natural lashes. This will help create a more natural look.

  6. Remove the lashes: To remove false lashes, gently peel them off from the outer corner of the eye. Use a cotton swab dipped in makeup remover to remove any remaining glue.

Working with false lashes takes practice, but with these tips, you'll be able to apply and remove them like a pro. At my makeup academy, you'll learn how to work with different types of false lashes and create beautiful looks for any occasion.
