How do students feel after doing their Portfolio Shoot at my school?

Everyone is always so nervous to do these shoots!! Understandable; when you’ve never worked with professional models from some of Melbourne’s best agencies, never mind photographers that are in high demand in the industry, alongside some of the best designers - it is not surprising that you’d feel super nervous.

However I always find my students come away from these shoots feeling inspired and uplifted, being able to see their potential for themselves when they have the opportunity to see their work come to life on the model and on the laptop of the photographer; how gratifying it is when you can visually see for yourself how much you’ve learned in the makeup course, and how far you’ve come and how you can definitely get a good strong side hustle, or indeed work full time for yourself.

The day itself is really fun, and I’m always right alongside each student every step of the way with full support as they need it. My objective is to not only for my students to get stunning shots of their work that they can use on their websites and social media; but to learn how to work in with other professionals - stylists, designers, models, photographers and their assistants, so that they are valued member of the team and professionals will want to work with them again.
